Selection Guide
Choosing the right nap mat for your child's needs can be daunting when there are so many choices. We're here to help in the process and to make sure your child gets the perfect mat for their situation. We've listed the manufacturer's names. You can search for the names in our search box located at the top right corner of the site.
We've broken it down by price point so you know what to expect, and what differentiates each mat.
Economy
The Kindermat is a basic sleep mat with no cover. It is made of vinyl. We carry the Standard and X Thick. Perfect for use under thinner nap mats or non-padded nappers if your child is sleeping on the floor. Cannot be personalized. Ranges from 5/8" to 1" thick. You can also add the janiebee KinderMat covers or the standard KinderMat pillowcase style cover.
Basic
If your child is sleeping on a cot, or using a Kindermat, we recommend Crafty Baby nappers. They are not padded. They are handmade with soft breathable fleece and have an attached pillow and blanket. They can be personalized.
The Owl and the Firefly makes comfortable, handmade nap mats at a very comfortable price point. These mats do not include a pillow or blanket.
Deluxe
janiebee, Mint, Marsupium, My NapPak, Royal NapMat, and Wildkin offer padded nap mats with pillows and attached blankets, made with high quality cotton, cotton blends and fleece. Most can be personalized and are around 1 to 1 1/2" thick.
Premium
janiebee, Kid Creations and Custom Baby Boutique offer beautiful, designer nap mats that can be personalized. They are thick, with attached pillows, and soft comfy blankets attached. They range in thickness from 1" to 2". These beautiful mats are hand-made using the highest quality fabrics, threads, and embroidery.
